AMS Foundations works with aviation experts and trusted schools across the US to provide free, high-quality aviation and electrical system training to aspiring professionals. We collaborate with aviation donors to provide industry-aligned courses that give students the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the aerospace sector.
We hold the highest of standards from the schools we choose from. At a minimum the schools must provide an instructor who has over 15 years experience in the course they are teaching, and/or the courses must be developed from teachers who hold a Master’s Degree or higher.

At AMS Foundations, we work hard to offer free, high-impact training programs designed to prepare learners for industry-recognized certifications. All programs are reviewed by our team to ensure they are developed and delivered by certified experts and align with national standards to ensure workforce readiness and technical excellence.
This program prepares students for the FAA A&P certification exams, covering foundational and advanced topics in aircraft structures, propulsion systems, maintenance procedures, and regulatory compliance. Students gain theoretical knowledge and practical insights aligned with Part 147 curriculum standards, equipping them for careers as licensed aviation maintenance technicians.
The AET program prepares learners for the NCATT AET certification by focusing on aviation electronics fundamentals, digital systems, wiring practices, and troubleshooting techniques. This credential supports employment in avionics and aerospace electronics roles, with optional pathways to advanced endorsements in RF communications, autonomous navigation, and onboard systems.
This course helps students earn the FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License, essential for maintaining and servicing aviation and marine radio communication equipment. The program covers electronics theory, transmitter/receiver functionality, antenna systems, and regulatory standards—providing a strong foundation for technicians in regulated RF environments.
